A whole school approach to tackle early school leaving means that the mechanisms and strategies needed to reduce early school leaving are promoted and implemented consistently and systematically across all levels and dimensions of the school, and that all members of the school-community, such as the leadership and management, teachers and non-teaching staff, students, parents and families engage in a collaborative, cohesive and complex action together.
